March 17, 2025, 5:31 p.m. Quick insight

New pending sales are catching up to last year's numbers in the last three weeks. Statewide, pendings are down only 4% compared to the same three week period last year, which is closer than it has been. Pending growth is positive in 36 counties.

Northwest Indiana

Pending contracts are up 2% in Lake County, and that counts for a lot given that the county has the second-highest amount of new pending sales in the state. In neighboring Porter County, pendings are up 25% YOY, and in LaPorte County, they're up 50%.

Louisville Metro Area

Clark County had 180 new contracts over the past three weeks, good for 18% YOY growth. Floyd County showed 13% growth. Scott County is small, but shows strong growth with 36 contracts in the last three weeks compared to 21 last year.

Indianapolis Metro Area

Central Indiana is showing mixed results. Marion County has 4% fewer contracts than last year, while Boone, Hamilton, and Hancock are also in negative territory. But Hendricks, Morgan, Johnson, and Shelby Counties are all growing YOY. Johnson County had 201 pendings over the last three weeks, which is 27% growth.
