The Monday Map - January 6, 2025

Christmas week is one of the slowest of the year for the real estate market, but some homebuyers were active last week. New pending contracts picked up substantially in Vanderburgh, Vigo, and Tippecanoe counties compared to the previous year. This week, we're diving into our latest weekly map of new pending contracts.

Tippecanoe County had 16 homes come under contract, which is 24% higher than Christmas week last year.

In Vigo County, 12 new pending contracts represented a 69% increase year-over-year.

In Vanderburgh County, there were 35 new contracts during the week of Christmas. This was 64% higher than last year.

The counties with the most new contracts were Lake (79) and Marion (118). Lake County was up 8% year-over-year, while Marion County was down 23%.
