Indiana's urban centers had a strong first of week sales in the new year. Marion County posted a 31% increase, while Hamilton County surged by 61%, signaling a busy start to the year in Central Indiana. Lake, Venderburgh, and Allen counties were all up by double digits. In Southern Indiana, Floyd County had twice as many closings as last year and Clark County was up by almost 50%.
The only large counties with year-over-year decreases were Tippecanoe and Madison.
As we move further into January, it will be worth watching whether this early momentum continues. For now, Central Indiana is clearly leading the charge, with buyers and sellers kicking off 2025 on an active note.
