Add places to compare

In a report builder, pick your first market, then click Compare Geographies. Click Add a geography and search for the next place. Add up to three, then click View Comparison Report.

Places do not need to be the same type, so a ZIP Code can sit next to its county.

Read the comparison

Comparison reports show tables instead of charts, one row per place. Prices and days on market compare directly. For counts like listings and sales, compare the year-over-year change. Click Add a place to compare under any table to add another market.

3. Click Add a geography and pick a place, up to three
4. Click View Comparison Report

Why it works

Side-by-side tables put every place on the same terms, so a client can see how their market stacks up against the county or the town next door.

Pro tip

For listings and sales, compare the year-over-year change, since bigger places always have bigger counts.
