Housing Hub iOS App: Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Indiana Association of REALTORS® ("IAR," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Indiana Association of REALTORS® Housing Hub iOS App (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

To use the App, users authenticate through their Indiana Association of REALTORS® account. As a result, we may have access to basic account information such as your name, email address, and National Association of REALTORS® member identification number (NRDS ID). This information is used only to authenticate access, associate usage with an authorized user, and support App functionality and analytics. The App does not collect additional personal information beyond what is provided through this login process.

b. Usage and Technical Information

We may collect limited, non-personal information automatically when you use the App, such as:

• Selected markets, metrics, and report options
• Interaction events (e.g., saving favorite markets or reports)
• Basic technical data (device type, operating system, timestamps)

This information is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the App.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide market data, reports, insights, and AI-powered features
• Enable features such as favorite markets, saved reports, and home screen widgets
• Monitor performance, reliability, and usage patterns
• Improve features, usability, and data presentation

3. Data Sources

Market data displayed or used by the App comes from the Indiana Association of REALTORS® Housing Hub and related data systems. This data is aggregated market information and does not include personal consumer or transaction-level details.

4. Data Sharing

The App does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Limited user information obtained through Indiana Association of REALTORS® account authentication (such as name, email address, and NRDS ID) is used solely for access control, internal analytics, and to support App functionality. This information is not shared with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• With service providers that support the technical operation of the App (such as hosting or infrastructure services), under confidentiality obligations
• When required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Indiana Association of REALTORS®, its members, or others

The App does not display user information publicly and does not use authentication data for advertising or marketing purposes.

The App includes an AI-powered feature (Spark) that processes user queries to generate market summaries, charts, and content. Queries submitted to Spark may be processed by a third-party AI service provider under confidentiality obligations. Submitted queries may include market identifiers and user-provided context but do not include personal identifying information beyond what is necessary to fulfill the request.

5. Data Retention

We retain usage and technical data only as long as necessary to support App functionality, analytics, and improvement. Saved configurations and favorites may be stored to support user workflows and may be cleared periodically.

6. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

Use of the App requires signing in through your Indiana Association of REALTORS® account. This allows us to associate App usage with basic account information such as your name, email address, and NRDS ID for access control and internal analytics.

You may choose not to use the App if you do not wish to associate your usage with your IAR account.

The App does not provide settings to modify or delete account information within the App itself. To update or manage your account details, please use the Indiana Association of REALTORS® account services.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
